Jun 01,2018&0183;Filler metal addition has been investigated as an effective way to enhance mechanical properties of cold rolled mild steel in resistance spot welding. In the present study, filler metal from 30 to 80 mg was added to the spot weld to study its effect on mechanical behaviour of spot weldments. The effects of expulsion on microstructure and tensile shear strength of spot welds have been investigated for a high-strength cold rolled sheet steel.Spot welds with expulsion are characteristic for a “double im-age” near the fusion line,an equiaxed dendritic grain zone along the faying surface, and deep indenta-tions on the outer surfaces.

Aug 22,2013&0183;I`m working on an industrial cold rolled steel sheet coating plant, where we add zinc to the surface of a steel sheet provided by a coil.(galvanizing line) As the process is a continuous line,we have a loop car,and as soon as a coil ends,we weld the beggining of another coil on it.Lately, the welded section between the end of a coil and the beggining ofRoll welding is a solid state welding process in which pressure sufficient to cause coalescence is applied by means of rolls,as shown in Figure 3.20,either with or without external heat.If the welding is done without applying heat,it isCedinor welding and sheetmetal department.– Automated Seam Welding,TIG / MIG manual welding and electric spot welding. We also offer CNC and Manual plasma cutting, sheet cutting and circle sheer, roll forming, tube and angle forming. Our specialty is the welding of aluminum and stainless steel, but we also work with aluminized steel, galvanized and cold roll steel.Jun 01,1993&0183;OSTI.GOV Journal Article Effects of expulsion in spot welding of cold rolled sheet steels Title Effects of expulsion in spot welding of cold rolled sheet steels Full RecordCold welding,or contact welding,is a solid-state welding process that requires little or no heat or fusion to join two or more metals together.Instead, the energy used for creating a weld comes in the form of pressure.During the cold welding process, unlike with fusion welding processes,no liquid or molten phase is present in the joint as
